Last weekKaren Steinwachs brought samples of some of the 30+ wines she makes at Buttonwood Winery. After an brief talk about herself and the history of Buttonwood Winery, Karen broke out her signature 2016 'Zingy' Sauvignon Blanc for us to taste while she continued to describe the wines and what is going on at the winery. We also tasted her 2016 Grenache Blanc (made from a white grape, not the regular red Grenache), 2014 Classic Cuvee Red Table Wine (excellent value IMHO), and 2014 Cabernet Franc. The meeting ran 20 minutes over, but no one seemed to mind.
Strategic Plan committee
Judy, Chris, Steve and Rich are working on revising the club's strategic plan. If you have an opinion about what the club should look like in 5, 10, or 20 years (will most members be in their nineties then?), give your input to one of them.
Last week Inge-Lise pinned VP/Past President Ron who was absent when recognized her other board members earlier in the month.
Bulletin Format question
Last year, the bulletin had three sections in the column, Upcoming Events, Speakers, and meeting tasks. We now have the program speakers mixed in with the Upcoming Events. Let Dean or Bob know if you prefer the current format or having weekly speakers in one group and other events (board meetings, other local Rotary events, etc) in a separate group.
