The little club that can and "did"
President John modified our club motto in reporting the events of the last week. At the previous meeting, an announcement was made that the group that was scheduled to prepare the dinner for the Buellton Senior Center the next Tuesday was not going to do it. Gabi said that she would help, but there was not a lot of others stepping forward. On Saturday, Gabi received word that the dinner would be cancelled unless Los Olivos Rotary could do it. Los Olivos Rotary did it.
Gabi called Alice, Judy and Susan and a few others and the LO Rotary crew prepared and served the meal three days later. If we could just do that with Jazz and Olive Festival! Great job Rotarians. Your editor was out of town last week and apol0gizes to those who helped but were not mentioned.
Professor Dave Talks Politics
Retired Westmont Professor Dave Lawrence, author of a text book on presidential politics, filled us in on what goes on behind the scenes in a presidential race. The talk lasted almost ten minutes after the normal end of the meeting and no one left early. Thanks Dave for the informative talk.
